The 38th Manila International Book Fair might be over, but we haven’t quite moved on just yet! Our faces are still smiling with the book signings with our favorite authors and hundreds of discounts and freebies at the fair! So, for a recap, here are a few highlights at the fair:
- New Releases exclusively available at the #MIBF2017
Our book fair goers had the privilege of being the first to own these books, since we released several books that aren’t available at the stores yet – and all of them are at 20% off!
These include titles such as “Whatda! Anong Petsa Na?” by RaketChick a sanity and survival planner tailored especially for freelancers; “Don’t Tell Anyone: Literary Smut” by Ian Rosales Casocot and Shakira Sison as part of our new imprint, Pride Press; the new covers of “America is in the Heart” by Carlos Bolosan, Duck and Croc series by Robert Magnuson; and a lot more. Soon to be available this October at National Book Store and Powerbooks Store branches. The titles are also already available on our website at www.anvilpublishing.com.
- Anvil authors graced the event with book signings and meet and greets!Anvil Greats on Stage: Lualhati Bautista and Butch Dalisay inspired aspiring writers in their talk and book signing
- Celebrities met and greeted fans at the MIBF too!
Paulo Avelino, Celeste Legaspi, and Rachel Alejandro met fans and signed “Ang Larawan: From Stage to Screen” books. The book contains the the original script and libretto, the making of the film, behind-the-scene photos, and a lot of insights you surely don’t want to miss.
Noel Ferrer brought celebrity guests including Joross Gamboa, Adrian Alandy, Marco Alcaraz, Precious Lara Quigaman, Rocco Nacino, and Edgar Allan Guzman – who serenaded the crowd!
- Readers enjoyed the photobooth at the Anvil booth!
We are happy that our readers enjoyed taking photos at our photobooth as a souvenir with their friends!
And these highlights are from Anvil Publishing alone. Who will agree that this is the best MIBF just yet? We’re already hyped for next year!
For now, we wish everyone a happy reading. Enjoy your books and see you at the 39th Manila International Book Fair!
